Ada Morris

Ada Lou Morris, 80, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010. She was born to George and Ethel Chesnutt Robinson in San Antonio, TX on October 30, 1929. She married Oliver Morris in Tuleta, TX on July 17, 1948. She was a member of First Baptist Church Tuleta for sixty-four years and Sunday school secretary for thirty-eight years. She loved to sew and crochet and play with her dog, Tippy, and worked with the homemakers at the Bee County Stock Show for years. She was a homemaker and loved to travel. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Oliver Morris of Tuleta, TX; children, Pam (Hank) Bern of Tuleta, TX, Larue (Bud) Carpenter of Tuleta, TX, Lloyd (Regina) Morris of Longmont, CO, Karen (Ronnie) Merrell of Tuleta, TX and Danny (Michelle) Morris of Tuleta, TX; sister, Ida Bess (Billy) Hall of Rockdale, TX; seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Galloway & Sons Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Galloway & Sons Chapel with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Morris, Brian Bern, Brad Bern, Lee Shanklin, Brandon Morris, and David Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Carpenter, Hank Bern, Ronnie Merrell, and Darren Brinkkoeter.
