Albert Medrano, Sr.

Albert Laureles Medrano, Sr., 72, of Beeville, Texas, formerly of Corpus Christi, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, and is resting in peace with his parents and son.

Albert was born August 26, 1950 in Corpus Christi to Antonio G. Medrano Sr. and Aurora (Laureles) Medrano. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was licensed to preach gospel ministry and spread the Word of God at the San Patricio County Jail. He was a truck driver by profession and enjoyed fishing and preaching.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Aurora Medrano; and his beloved son, Albert Medrano Jr.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include his wife, Maggie Medrano; daughter, Belinda (Frank) Castro; sons, Felix Medrano, Mark Medrano and Adrian (Mary) Medrano; a sister, Mary Alice (David) Aleman; a brother, Antonio (Gloria) Medrano Jr.; granddaughters, Mandy Ann Castro, Mindy Ann Castro and Miranda Ann Castro; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, with a prayer service at 7 o’clock at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Richey officiating.

The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice staff Soledad Hinojosa, RN, Maria CNA, and his provider Lydia for their loving care and comfort during our time of need as well as W.D. Cook.
