Alice (Muniz) Moreno

Alice (Muniz) Moreno, 81, a lifelong resident of La Feria, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

Alice was born on February 27, 1943 in Three Rivers, Texas to loving parents, Graciano Muniz, Sr. and Beatriz Galvan. She retired from La Feria ISD, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She had a green thumb and loved being outdoors tending to her plants and watering them. Alice enjoyed gambling, exercising and taking walks. She was a loving, wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Salvador Muniz, Graciano Muniz Jr., Reynaldo Muniz and Beatriz Muniz.

Left behind to cherish Alice’s loving memory are her loving family including three children, Michael Joseph Moreno (Loretta), Dan Mark Moreno (Sheryl) and Melannie M. Castelan (Luis); five grandchildren, Marcus Nathaniel Nunez, Liam Castelan, Reagan Moreno, Carson Moreno and Tiana Moreno; two sisters, Sylvia Garcia and Mary Crawley; and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, from 4 to 9 p.m. with Holy Rosary at 7 o’clock at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit in Harlingen.

Visitation will continue Friday, August 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7 o’clock that evening at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
