Alvin Peebles

Alvin Taylor Peebles, 79, died on September 4, 2015. He was born November 24, 1935 to Albert Sidney and Lenice Ethel (Taylor) Peebles in Uvalde, Texas. After graduation Alvin received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State in 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Baptist and an accountant and a resident of George West since 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Franklin) Kopecky of Goliad; son, Casey Peebles of Colorado; brother, Durwood Peebles of Calallen; sister, Enell Stewart of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Tasha Anders, Trey Kopecky, Andrea Kopecky, and Eric Peebles; great grandchildren, Madalyn and Mason Anders, Jaycie, Taylor, and Brayden Peebles. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery.
