Amada Aguirre

Amada G. Aguirre 79, of Beeville, Texas, went home to see her Savior on Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Amada was born to the late Enrique P. and Felicita Garza on March 16, 1939, in Beeville, Texas.
A loving mother and homemaker, she was a remarkable cook and seamstress. She was an active PTA member when her children were young and a M.A.D.D. member for many years. She also served on one of the first fundraising committees for the Cancer Society for many years and was a faithful Catholic.
Despite her busy and hectic schedule raising four children, her family and friends were always her passion and brought her much delight.
She married Raul C. Aguirre Sr. one warm summer day in June of 1956 in Beeville. They were united in marriage at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Beeville. Here is where they made their home and began their family. They continued to live their lives in Beeville and were blessed with four beautiful children. Many traditions were made in the Aguirre home while the children grew which she treasured with all her heart.
Amada was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Robert, Abel and Simon Garza; and one grandson, Seth G. Aguirre.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Raul C. Aguirre Sr.; and her four children and spouses, Raul Jr. (Norma) Aguirre, Richard Henry (Norie Lyn) Aguirre, Roxane Marie (Leo) Casas III and Rose Michele (Zeke) Ortiz Jr.; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Edelmira "Mima" Valdez.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock.
The funeral service celebrating her life will be held Monday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. A graveside service will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Trey, Garrett, Cordell and Henry Aguirre and Tres Ortiz; and nephew, J.D. Aguirre.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Amada's memory to Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust Ave., Victoria, Texas 77901.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of South Texas for their love and compassion during her final days. Their compassion was a true gift and a beautiful blessing.
