Amado Juan Valadez

Amado Juan Valadez, 71, of George West, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Mr. Valadez was born on June 16, 1953, in Mathis to Juan and Consuelo Valadez. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church in George West. Amado married the love of his life, Miquela Basquez, on July 19, 1975, in George West.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Valadez; his mother, Consuela Cruz Valadez; and a brother, Alfredo Valadez.

Left to cherish precious memories include his wife of 49 years, Miquela Valadez; three sisters, Connie Benitez, Elia Rodriguez and Evangelina Lockstedt; three brothers, Armando Valadez, Arturo Valadez and Juan Valadez Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock that evening.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 5, at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Burial will follow in the George West Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Valadez, Jacinto Valadez, Pablo Valadez, David Kaase, Bryan Kaase, Jacob Kaase and Tony Kaase.
