America Reyes

America G. Reyes, 79, of George West died Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Mrs. Reyes was born to Manuel Gonzales, Sr. and Justa Saenz Gonzales on Jan. 3, 1936 in Benavides. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ruben Reyes Sr.; son Cecilio Reyes; sister Sovidea Trujillo; and brother Manuel Gonzales. Survivors include her children, Justa Ramirez (Vidal) of George West, Isabel Reyes and Michael Reyes (Rachel) both of Three Rivers, Ruben Reyes Jr. (Jo Rachel) of Kyle, Robert Reyes (Elda) of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Beche Suniga (Martin) of Comanche, Marta Martinez and Palma Pena, both of George West; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday June 4 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Chapel, George West. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday June 5, at the St. George Catholic Church in George West with Father George Johnson officiating. Burial was at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ruben Reyes, Robert Reyes, Mike Reyes, Nathan Reyes, Lonnie Reyes and Daniel Reyes.
