Angela “Cookie” Lea (Dillon) Cook, 53, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Angela was born August 21, 1971, in Del Rio, Texas to James Dillon and Carolyn Sue (Vanlandingham) Dillon. She married Iain Derek Cook in Beeville on June 13, 1997. She served as a correctional officer for numerous years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, as well as served as Corporal Jailer at the Beeville Sheriff’s Department where she touched many lives during her time there. Since their retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her husband down at their condo on the island with their pups. She was the perfect mix spunk and humor, guaranteed to make anyone smile. She had the biggest sweet tooth, which is fitting- she had the sweetest most giving heart. Most of all, she loved her family more than anything in the world. Her husband, kids, and dogs were everything to her. She enjoyed attending concerts with Iain as well as water parks, traveling and simply spending time together on boat rides and fishing.
The hole in our heart is gaping; she will be loved and missed forever.
She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Laura Ann Dillon; father, James Dillon; grandmother, Jewell Vanlandingham; grandfather W.E. Vanlandingham; nephew, Chad Jones; father-in-law, Derek Savage; as well as her dogs, Cooper, Slinky, Calvin, Bella and Pickle.
Left behind to mourn her loss are her husband of 27 years, Iain Derek Cook of Beeville; daughters, Cassandra Renee Dillon (Dyamond Puentes) and Laura Cook-Kramr (Megan Cook-Kramr); son, Ryan Christopher Anderson; grandson, Benjamin James Anderson; mother, Carolyn Dillon; sister, Brittany (Mark) Pacheco; nieces, Briella and Julieana Pacheco; nephew, Jared Dillon; parents-in-law, Shirley and Warren Cook; sister-in-law, Tracey (Cindy) Brown; niece and nephew, Samantha Jones and Cody Jones; and her beloved pet dogs, Leo and Sugar; many adopted grandchildren, Delilah, Jerry and Conner; cousins, aunts, uncles, friends.
