Annie Hanus

Annie Hanus, 84, of Beeville passed away on August 20, 2010, in Victoria, Texas. She was born September 19, 1925, in Victoria County to Frank and Julia Frantis Lesikar. On December 7, 1943, she married George Hanus of Skidmore in Victoria, Texas. They moved back to the Skidmore area where they made their home. Annie was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Georgia (Clyde) Gabriel of Baytown, TX; son in law, C.B. (Kathleen) Trial of Beeville; grandchildren, Terri (Ty) Sparks of Beeville, Cynthia Clements of Pearland, Christie (Harold) Quijano of Sugar Land and Randall Stephenson of Beeville; great-grandchildren, Kirsten Stephenson and Karli Clements, Chet, Cori, and Gracie Sparks, Christian, Dylan and Isabella Quijano; a sister, Viola Hanus of El Campo; a brother, Ernest Lesikar of Shiner; a sister-in-law, Lydia Lesikar of Victoria; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hanus, on February 17, 2005; a daughter, Polly Trial on January 4, 1995; her parents; sisters, Lydia Kabela and Sylvia Koening, Alma Slavik, Oleta Schlebach; brothers, Edwin, Roy, Jesse, and Fred Lesikar, all of Victoria and Frank Lesikar of Placedo; and a granddaughter-in-law, Kathy Stephenson of Beeville. Visitation was held at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services were held on Monday, August 23, 2010, at The First United Methodist Church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, TX.
