Arthur Charles A.C. "Sneaky Snake" Stovall Sr., 80, of Beeville, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. Mr. Stovall was born June 3, 1934, in Louise to Allonia (Grant) and George Stovall. He attended George Washington Carver school in Edna and was a truck driver all his life. His last employer was Allen Taylor Construction Company. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he sang in the Senior Choir; he accepted Christ in his young adult life. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Stovall. Survivors include Martha Stovall of Beeville; daughters, Caroline (James) Moore of Manor, Cherlyn (Charles) Wadley of Austin, Teresa (Charles) Taylor of Beeville and Tanya Taylor of Houston; sons, A.C. "Bubba" (Charlotte) Stovall Jr. of Calallen, Jack Stovall of Lockhart, Troy (Cherie) Taylor of Beeville, Eric Stovall of Long Beach, California, and Arthur Jones of San Antonio; two sisters, Pauline Jackson of Corpus Christi and Evelyn Shepard of Edna; and a host of other children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Eric R. Tarver officiating. Musical selections were provided by Karen Hadden. Burial followed at St. Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rebo Mayberry, Rollin Hadden, George A. Johnson, Lionel Hodge, Brandon Gunter and Taylor Gunter. Honorary pallbearers were Curtis E. Gunter, Benny W. Gunter, James Johnson, Sean Jackson, Mitchell Smith, Raymond Huff and M.C. McIntire.
