Benvenido Rebugio

Bienvenido "Ben" Rebugio, 64, of Beeville died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. Mr. Rebugio was born March 27, 1947, in the Philippines to Maria Juana (Tabangcura) and Vicente Rebugio Sr. He married Liza Bamba in the Philippines on Dec. 21, 1987, and worked for Christus Spohn Hospital for 15 years in nutritional services. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Prince; and a brother, Reynaldo. Survivors include his wife, Liza Rebugio of Beeville; his mother, Maria Juana Rebugio of Beeville; his children, Charmie Rebugio of Houston, Adonis (Cathy) Rebugio of Beeville, Venus Rebugio of Austin, Mary Jane (Sean) Kesler of Austin, Aries Rebugio (Nicole) of North Carolina and Monaliza Rebugio of Austin; grandchildren, Zaira, Charles, Clark, Josh, Aurora Kesler, Kali Alvarez, Calvin Kesler, Micah, Rieden, Angel and Mehnad; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Mervita Balangue of Victoria, Efren Rebugio (Cora) of Austin, Vilma Rutab (Hardie) of Beeville and Vicente (Jean) Rebugio Jr. of San Antonio. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church Saturday, Nov. 26, at 10 a.m. with Father Richard Gonzales officating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sean Kesler, Ty Tindell, Joey Cuison, Luis del Barrio, Rick Ramos, Vincent Lacerna, Chris Rian and Sonny Reyes.
