Bobbie Jean (Sharpe) Rodriguez, 79, of George West, Texas passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Live Oak Nursing Center.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born September 21, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Luther Sharpe and Dora Mae Warner. She attended Clinton Park Elementary and later graduated from Wheatley High School. She was a valued employee of Allstate Insurance Company and retired after 30 years of dedicated service as an insurance adjuster.
She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and took pride in teaching her prison ministry, and without mentioning it, she loved the Lord immensely. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, cooking, praying, fishing, shopping, sports, singing, dominoes and a great laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Sharpe and Dora Mae Warner; her husband, Leopoldo "Leo" G. Rodriguez after 41 years of marriage; sister, Helen Fay Sharpe; stepdaughter, Pauline Coronado; and stepsons, Leopoldo Rodriguez Jr. and David Rodriguez.
Survivors include her children, Carrol Coe and Darryl (Leslie) Coe; stepdaughters, Berta (Anthony) Elias and Leticia (Jason) Stanke; sister, Lillie Bernice Vunisa; and brother, Larry Edwards Sharpe. She was “Nana” to her grandchildren, Brandy (Terica) Allinience, Thomas Jones, Roosevelt Coe, Josie Coe, Benjamin Del Pozo Jr., Adam Del Pozo, Melissa Coronado, Paloma Coronado, Ricardo Coronado, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30, at First Baptist Church in George West with Pastor Bob Hendrick officiating.
Bobbie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 31, at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
Pallbearers will be Jason Stanke, Tony Elias, Darryl Coe, Thomas Jones, Roosevelt Coe and Allen Rogers.
