Bobby Thomas

Bobby Eugene Thomas, 80, passed away on August 18, 2014. He was born on July 3, 1934 in Mercedes, TX to Doc Bell and Thelma Ann (McDonald) Thomas. Bobby married Doris Marie Latham on April 10, 1959 in Bruni, TX. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was previously employed with A.B. Thomas Company, Three Rivers I.S.D., as head of maintenance, Aamco Production, and manager of Coastal Bend Supply in Corpus Christi, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doc Bell Thomas and Thelma Ann McDonald Thomas; daughter, Carla Sue Thomas; grandson, Matthew Garett Thomas; brothers, Dillard Leon Thomas and Danny Ray Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Latham Thomas of McMullen County; daughter, Glenda Thomas Crosson and husband, Alton of McMullen County; son, Bruce Elliott Thomas and wife, Alisa of Tilden; brother, Donald Joe Thomas and wife, Joy of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Valarie Crosson Ramsey, Joseph Earl Crosson, Jessica Elaine Thomas, Bruce Tyler Thomas, Destinee Brook Thomas, Justin D. Thomas, Levi Thomas, and Kayla Dawn Thomas and husband, Walter Adrian Cox; great-grandchildren, Kristen Lynn Tijerina, Dakota Matthew Ramsey, Nolan Joseph Crosson, Ethan Joseph Crosson, Ryan Zweng, Tucker Zweng, Kayden Thomas, Kali Thomas, Titus Thomas, B.J. Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Sophia Thomas, Walter Dale Cox, Martin Griffen Cox and Aubrey Taylor. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, TX. Funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 with Rev. Kevin Powers officiating. Interment followed at Thomas-Latham Cemetery in George West, TX. Pallbearers were Joey Crosson, J.D. Thomas, Bruce Tyler Thomas, Walter Cox, Levi Thomas, and Ruben Cruz. Honorary pallbearer was Timothy Zweng.
