Bonnie Skidmore

Bonnie Lee Skidmore, 81, of Odessa and formerly of Live Oak County, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Bonnie was born Aug. 11, 1936, to Jack L. Graham and Julia A. Murphy in New Gulf, Texas, and at an early age, moved to Artesia Wells, Texas, and attended Cotulla High School. She married Robert Lee Skidmore Sr. on Dec. 4, 1954. Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper/secretary most of her life but also worked various home-based businesses such as Mary Kay and Tupperware. She was a very active member of many churches where she sang soprano in the various church choirs and was like a second mom to all the kids who were friends of the family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia A. Winslow; her father, Jack L. Graham; numerous siblings; and her husband, Robert Lee Skidmore Sr. who passed away on Aug. 16, 1993.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Lee Skidmore Jr. of Port Mansfield, Texas, and James Owen Skidmore and wife Debbie from George West, Texas; one daughter, Debra Ann and husband, Pastor Karl D. Pabst from Odessa, Texas; two granddaughters, Lee Ann Lopez and Jamie Danielle Skidmore; four grandsons, Robert Wesley Skidmore, Matthew Edward Golden, Daniel Wade Skidmore and James Cody Skidmore; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West with Pastor Robert Nixon officiating. Interment followed at Three Rivers Cemetery.
