Brenda Pugh

Brenda K. Pugh, 59, of Cypress died on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Mrs. Pugh was born June 23, 1956, to Rufus and Helen (Burns) Wideman in Sylacauga, Alabama. She married Richard Pugh on June 16, 1978, in Cypress and was a Catholic and a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of family, doing charity work, loved horses, and helped special needs children horseback riding. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, Richard "Ray" Pugh of Cypress; two sisters Becky (Eddie) Clark and Lea Ann (Keith) Rosenberry; two children, Ashley Tara Bomar and Adam Tyler Pugh; granddaughter, Avery Rae Bomar; numerous nieces and newphews. Vistation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Friday) at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Interment will follow at Gussettville Cemetery in Gussettville. Pallbearers will be Kory Brett, Kade Brett, Jason Simeon, Cody Clark, Austin Clark, Shane Turner, Zane Pugh, and Josh Bomar. Honorary pallbearers will be Laura Deiss, Michelle Williams, Roxie Avant, John Brett, Mike Houts and Jay Sexton.
