Brien Glenn Hickman, 54, of Beeville died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in Beeville. Mr. Hickman was born to Burgess and Deanie Unangst Hickman on Jan. 13, 1958, in Sinton. He graduated in 1976 from A.C. Jones High School and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, class of 1980. While there, he obtained a bachelor of science degree in mechanized agriculture and was a member of The Corps of Cadets, Company M-2, Parson's Mounted Calvary and the Trivia Club. He worked several years at the Bee County Livestock Commission and Auction and was employed by NAS Kingsville in the Support Equipment branch for 18 years. He was currently employed by Kay and Associates as the ground support equipment supervisor at Chase Field. He was an owner of Hickman Ranch and Hilltop Mobile Home Park in Beeville and was a member of the South Texas Meat Goat Association, a director of the American Meat Goat Association, a member of the American Boer Goat Association and a lifetime member of AQHA and ABBA. He was a member of Kiwanis, a long-standing parade marshal of the Bee County Chamber of Commerce Western Week and the parade judge for the horse division. He was also a Bee County Junior Livestock Show board member, meat goat superintendent and buyer, as well an active member of the Bee County Chamber of Commerce. He was instrumental in the organization and implementation of the San Antonio Livestock Show Meat Goat Division and was an active member of many South Texas County's 4-H, FFA and various other youth organizations. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beeville. Survivors include his daughter, Kathlene "Katie" Grace Hickman of Beeville; her mother, Myranette Bunch Hickman of Rockport; his sisters, Adrian Till Carter and Priscilla (Mike) Hickman Stuart; a nephew, Gordon Stuart; and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burgess and Deanie Hickman. Pallbearers will be Jason Weischwill, Kent Romine, Craig Ashby, Robert Rios, Tina Shearman and Tom Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Hebert Evons and Gordon Stuart. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home
