Cathleen Anderson

Cathleen Dycus - Hollan Anderson, 78, passed away on March 21, 2015. She was born to Hazelwood Dycus and Bernice Cook on January 7, 1937, in Beeville, Texas. She was raised in Sinton, Texas, by her mother and adopted father Gus Hollan. While growing up in Sinton she attended school there and after graduation Cathleen attended Del Mar School of Nursing in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married John B Anderson on April 11, 1958, in Sinton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading books. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Cathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her father, Hazelwood Dycus; and her parents Bernice and Gus Hollan; husband, John Burman Anderson; two twin granddaughters; a brother; and a sister. Those left to cherish her memories are her four children, John Anderson and wife, Melanie of Roanoke, Alabama, Andy Anderson, Kelly Anderson both of Beeville, and Stacy Steele and husband, Jack of Tuleta, Texas; five grandchildren, Amber Steele (Jason Brock) of Austin, Patrick Steele, Mathew Steele both of Tuleta, Cody Anderson and Megan Anderson of Roanoke, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Emma Steele, Carson Steele and Collin Steele. Visitation was held at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Graveside services were on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery.
