Charles Edward Clark

Charles Edward Clark, an accomplished optician, passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 86 in his home in Beeville, Texas.

Charles was born July 22, 1937, in Norris City, Illinois to James Taylor Clark and Hazel (Green) Clark. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he opened Clark Optical in southern Illinois and in Beeville where he was an optician. He married Mary Millspaugh in December 2001. Charles was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved quail hunting. His passion was training hunting dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Clark; his wife, Mary Clark; a brother, Robert Clark; and a sister, Carol Speed.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include his daughters, Sheryle (Johnny) Perry and Pamela (Jeff) Perkins; a son, Charles (Missy) Clark; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a stepson, Brian Wood.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
