Charlotte Anne (Boyer) King, 65, of Mathis died Monday, June 10, 2013. Mrs. King was born July 20, 1947, to Sidney York and Martha Grace (Worley) Boyer in Edinburg. She married Bruce L. King on Sept. 2, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned her master's degree and was a librarian. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a talented seamstress, quilter and scrapbooker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Barbara Boyer Webb. Survivors include her husband, Bruce L. King of Mathis; five children, Jennifer King (James) Harris of Orem, Utah, Sherry King (Chad) Iverson of Draper, Utah, Carl Owen (Elizabeth) King of Corpus Christi, Julie King (Joshua) Black of San Antonio and Andrew Grant (Katherine) King of Corpus Christi; brothers and sisters, Marcie Boyer (Steve) Scott of Mathis, Paul Martin (Janell) Boyer of Copperas Cove, Karen Boyer (David) Weatherston of Corpus Christi, Carol Elaine Boyer of Mathis and Thomas Alan (Sandra) Boyer of Spring Villa, Utah; a brother-in-law, Duane Webb of Mathis, and 15 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with President Kenneth Seals officiating. Burial will follow at the George West Cemetery in George West. Pallbearers will be Andrew King, Carl King, Josh Black, James Harris, Luke King, Daniel Boyer, Jacob Macias and Joshua Weatherston.
