Chester Wood

Chester Wilson "Woody" Wood Jr., 57, of Beeville, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. Mr. Wood was born May 6, 1958, in Amarillo to Marvalene Allen and Chester Wilson Wood Sr. He married Laura Jackson on Aug. 24, 1990, and was an electrician. He is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Wood; brother-in-law, Daniel Tierney; and nephew, Randy Bishop. Survivors include his wife, Laura Wood of Beeville; mother, Marvalene Allen Wood of Fairfield; mother-in-law, Gloria Brannan of Beeville; sisters-in-law, Betty Tierney of Beeville, Rosemary (George) Stakvel and Paula (Jeff) Hayden both of Albuquerque, Theresa (David) Coker of Dallas, and Connie Wood of Trinidad; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The chapel service will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, with Joseph Tierney officiating.
