Cruz Garza Jr., 64, of Rawlins, Wyoming, formerly of George West, Texas, was called home to be with our heavenly Father on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at a hospital in Carbon County, Wyoming.
Cruz was born December 3, 1956, in Yorktown, Texas to Cruz Garza, Sr. and Amelia (Moreno) Garza. He married Lynn Schultz on October 10, 2010 in Minnesota. After retirement from retail management, he spent time traveling and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amelia and Cruz Garza, Sr.; his first wife of 28 years, Nelda G. Garza; and a brother, Bobby Garza.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Schultz of Rawlins, Wyoming; six daughters, Irene Garza, Tina (Dave) Smith, Victoria Garza, Velma (Nick) Luna, Gigi Perez and Sylvia Garza; a son, Cruz A. (Julie) Garza; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Helen Mungia, Marie Louise Santos and Rosalinda Garza; and a brother, Eddie Garza.
Visitation will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, at St. George Catholic Church with the Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Monday, December 6, with Father Romeo Salinas officiating. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mingo Longoria, Brandie Longoria, Robert Garza, Jr., Juan Lazaro, Adam Garcia and Nolberto Rubio.
