David Hughes, 51, of Beeville died Saturday, July 31, 2010. Mr. Hughes was born June 14, 1959, in Beeville to Harry A. and JoAnn (Wiemer) Hughes. He attended Angelo State and Texas A&M University and was a corrosion technician for Kinder-Morgan Pipeline Co. He married Phyllis Boren in Beeville on Oct. 5, 1985, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents, George and Evelyn Wiemer and Glen and Emma Hughes. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hughes of Beeville; a daughter, Kandy Hughes (Russell) Brown of Beeville; a son, Morgan Hughes of Kyle; his mother, JoAnn Hughes and special friend, Jay Lawson of Beeville; a sister, Susan Rodriguez of Beeville and brother-in-law, Juan Rodriguez of Ben Bolt; two brothers, John (Deanna) Hughes of George West and Harry (Jennifer) Hughes of Beeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Peter Muroko officiating. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wildon Rouse, Randy West, Max Schroeder, Jim Harris, Robert Handy and Richard Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers were Bo White, Jay Conoly, Frank Trevi�o, Henry Castro and fellow employees of Kinder-Morgan. Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the donor's choice.
