Debra Lynn (Hull) Keever, 57, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2011, in Houston after a long illness. Mrs. Keever was born Oct. 23, 1953, in San Antonio. She graduated from Richard King High School in Corpus Christi in 1971, and from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor's degree in business administration with highest honors. She worked as an accountant for about 14 years at Gas Compressors Gemini Engine Company/ Universal Compression, in Corpus Christi and Dallas. For the past six years, she worked for the Bee Community Action Agency in Beeville. She enjoyed needlework, including sewing, quilting, crochet and cross-stitch, and she loved nature, especially gardening and driving through the countryside, bird watching and viewing wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Allen and Billie Jean Hull; and her infant son, Jason Keever. Survivors include three sisters, Diana Sellers, Sharon Dinsmore and Karen Newcomb; one nephew, Travis Sellers; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. The funeral service was at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The family received visitors starting at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association of Texas (www.pfatx.org), the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org) or the charity of one's choice.
