Dominga Garcia

Dominga (Pena) Garcia, 83, of Beeville, died Friday, June 3, 2016. Mrs. Garcia was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Montielo to Carmen (Diaz) and Elojio Pena. She married Mauro Garcia in Karnes City on April 2, 1947, and was a housewife and a Pentecostal. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Audelia Gutierrez; a son, Vidal Garcia; three brothers, Guillermo Pena, Luciano Pena and Cipriano Pena; and a sister, San Juanita Dela Paz. Survivors include her children, Lillie (James) Wood, Maclovia Matthews (Robert) Garmany, Gilbert (Deliah) Garcia, Mary Helen Lino, Ramon (Carmen) Garcia, Gloria White, Mauro Garcia Jr., Synthia (Odell) Ivy, Sylvia (Robert) Ochoa, and Ramiro (George Quanzer) Garcia; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Noe Pena of Colorado City; and a sister, Irene Dela Paz of Sweetwater. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel with a prayer service this evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral service will be conducted there Wednesday, June 8, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sergio Vaquera officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Garcia, John Lino, Ryan Jacob Garcia, Billy Joe Guevarra, Anthony Portillo and James Lino. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ochoa, Carlos Cantu and Isaac Lino.
