Domingo Perez

Domingo "Mingo" Perez, 63, of Mineral, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. Mr. Perez was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Three Rivers to Jose and Porfiria (Martinez) Perez. He married Teresa Rodriguez in Beeville on Nov. 4, 1977, and worked for Select Energy Oil Field Service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Pettus Volunteer Fire Department and was a past president of the St. Vincent Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Porfiria Perez; two brothers, Juan Perez and Louis Perez; and one sister, Rosa Rodriguez. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Perez of Mineral; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Ysaias) Rosales of Three Rivers and Angelica Perez (Zachary) Schaefer of Houston; two sons, Domingo Perez Jr. of Corpus Christi and Antonio "Tony" Perez of Pettus; four brothers, Jose (Maria) Perez of George West, Martin (Susan) Perez of Victoria, Mike Perez of Corpus Christi and Lionel Perez of Sealy; and four sisters; Felipa Lara of El Campo, Epifania Earnest of Arcadia, Fla., Adelfa Moreno of Michigan and Anabel (Jose) Castillo of San Angelo. Visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 8 o'clock. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
