Donald Hoaglin

Donald Wayne Hoaglin, 82, of Beeville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019.

Mr. Hoaglin was born March 23, 1936, in Pike County, Illinois, to Roy Freeman and Florence Marie (Carroll) Hoaglin. He married Beverly Ann Schwierzke on Feb. 25, 1960 in Beeville. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years and retired from AT&T after 23 years. He was a resident of Beeville since 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly Ann Hoaglin in 2012; a daughter, Donna Ann Harris; and two sisters, Nancy Brown and Rosemary.

Survivors include two sons, Craig (Beckie) Hoaglin of Helotes and Donald Roy (Rosalinda) Hoaglin of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Mikalah, Emma, Craig Allen and Victoria; two sisters, Mary Lou Mitchell of Quincy and Helen Wiley of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Johnny Hoaglin of Quincy and David Roy Hoaglin of Phoenix, Arizona; a son-in-law, Randall Harris; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Raymond and Brenda Law; and a brother-in-law, Hilmer Schwierzke.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Beeville Memorial Park with James Brewster officiating.
