Donald Thomas

Donald "Don" Thomas, 72, of George West, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. Mr. Thomas was born March 15, 1942, to Beryl Eugene and Mary Thomas in Columbus, Ohio. He married Rosella Bailey on July 14, 1978, in Cumberland, Maryland, before moving to George West. He worked as a parts manager for Bendorz and Snider Auto. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, Alice Borean and a brother, Gene Thomas. Survivors include a brother, Ted (Betty) Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; a son, David Thomas of Kodiak, Alaska; daughters Tonya (Rey) Arvizu of George West and Sandy (Mike) Lynn of Stockdale; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 21, from 9 to 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in George West. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Bruce Irving officiating.
