Dorothy Curbello Eichman, 80, of Goliad, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Mrs. Eichman was born on Jan. 14, 1930, in Skidmore to Marie Nathan and Steve Curbello. She married Gene Eichman on April 24, 1997, in Goliad and was a mother, wife and nurse. She was a member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Steve Walker and J.M. Vickery; one grandchild; and brothers, Jack, Charles and J.L. "Bud" Curbello; and a sister, Gladys Southard. Survivors include her husband, Gene Eichman of Goliad; a son, Jasper (Janine) Walker of Grand Prairie; three daughters, Nancy (Fredric) Lozo of Mathis, Sylvia (William) Black of Cleburne and Judy (Steve) Miller of Beeville; two brothers, Gus Curbello of Houston and Ross Curbello of George West; three sisters, Louise Walker, Virginia Phelps and Nancy Toomeys, all of Corpus Christi; step-children, Charles and Veronica Eichman and Melvin, Richard, Jimmy and Larry Vickery; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Beeville. A funeral service was conducted there Saturday at 10 a.m. with musical selection "It Is Well With My Soul" provided by organist Mary Ellen Thoms and vocalist Ross Curbello.
