Dorothy Hurst

Dorothy Mae (Owens) Hurst, 82, of Grove, Oklahoma, formerly of Beeville passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Mrs. Hurst was born June 18, 1932, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Ora Lois Sallee Owens. She married CC Hurst Jr. on Dec. 17, 1954, in Lubbock and was a devoted mother, wife, and Founding First Lady of Trinity Christian Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ora Lois Sallee Owens; husband, CC Hurst Jr.; and brothers, Tommy Owens and Raymond J. Owens; grandson, Christopher Hurst; and son-in-law, Edwin Schirmer. Survivors include her children, Pamela (Steve) Throckmorton of El Dorado, Kansas, Dr. Chester Lynn Hurst of San Antonio and Phil (Darlene) Hurst of Grove, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Owens and Gene Owens of Bonham; and a sister, Erma Everett of Fort Worth. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 21st at 1 p.m. at Trinity Christian Center. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Galloway and Sons Funeral Home Beeville, Texas
