Guadalupe "Lupe" Ruiz, 78, passed away on December 18, 2014. She was born on November 22, 1936 in Campbellton, Texas to Santos and Julia (Rodriguez) Garcia. In 1959 she married Robert Ruiz, Sr. in Campbellton, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was retired owner of Sunrise-Sunset Restaurant and Tasty Cream. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ruiz, Sr. of Three Rivers; daughters, Carolyn Ruiz Bernal of George West and Irma Esquivel of Kenedy, sons, Robert Ruiz, Jr. and Danny Ruiz of Three Rivers; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Vicente Garcia of Oklahoma, Julian Garcia of San Antonio; 2 sisters, Cecilia Garcia of Beeville, Mary Gonzalez of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 27th and 28th at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Micheal Ruiz, Justin Ruiz, James Ruiz, R.J. Esquivel, Zachary Bernal, and Kyle Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be R. J. Esquivel and Ervin Sheppard.
