Edward Povlish, 91, of Skidmore, died Monday, April 2, 2012. Mr. Povlish was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to Clint and Ollie Lindholm Peebles. He married Nelda N. Dunn in Alice on June 15, 1945, served in the U.S. Army and was a rancher. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore and was a retired longshoreman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nelda N. Povlish, on July 14, 1987; his second wife, Addie Mae Rader Povlish, on Aug. 1, 2010; and a son, Dale Povlish. Survivors include a son, Clinton E. (Karen) Povlish of Schertz; and three grandchildren, Eric, Sara and Marshall. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 5, from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
