Elias Chapa, Sr. of George West, Texas, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at the age of 43. He was lovingly surrounded by his family.
Elias was born August 3, 1975, in Beeville, Texas, to Julian and Alicia (Aleman) Chapa. He was a Christian and devoted to his family. His life revolved around his children and was very involved with their extracurricular activities. He was their No. 1 fan. He was a carpenter by trade.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Esteban and Carlotta Moreno; his maternal grandparents, Adan and Catarina Aleman; and his brother, Elias Chapa.
Elias is survived by his parents, Julian and Alicia Chapa of George West; wife, Donna Millermon of George West; three sons, Eliseo Chapa, Elias Chapa, Jr. and Marcos Chapa, all of George West; two daughters, Marivel Chapa and Meghan Chapa, both of George West; five sisters, Dora A. (David) Zuniga of George West, Armelinda Rizo of Three Rivers, Mary Alice Cantu of George West, Armila (Zeno) Stapleton of Cleburne and Lisa Marie (James) Cowger of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, Ero Chapa and Odin Chapa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West followed by a prayer service at 7 o'clock.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Lee Zuniga, Julian Blakeley, Noe Moreno, Robert Moreno, Jr., Estaban Lucas, Edgar Fuentes, Joe Cuevas, Benny Moreno and Robert Castillo.
