Elton Quentin Wolfe, 93, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, in San Antonio, TX. He was born October 11, 1919, in Mineral, TX fifth son of Pete and Ida Bradford Wolfe. His goal was to reach one hundred years but ill health made this impossible. He graduated from Pettus High School in 1939 and was a graduate of Baylor University. In World War II, Elton served as Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Corps stationed in California. He was an accountant in Corpus Christi until 1970 when he moved to San Antonio. Elton was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Robert, Walter, Kenneth and Boyd; three sisters, Viola, Audrey and Gwendolyn. Survivors are eleven nieces and nephews, Billye Jean McCracken of Beeville, TX, Mattie Jay Wilson of Blanco, TX, Bobbie Lee Wolfe of Abilene, TX, Thomas E. Wolfe of Laramie, WY, Quentin Keith Fudge of Mineral, TX, Ida Mae Moody of Corpus Christi, TX, Joyce Marie Sloan of Logandale, NV, Shirley Madary of Ingram, TX, Larry Harris of Ft. Worth, TX, Mary Gwen Pierce of Kerrville, TX and Leslie Steeber of Warren, NJ. Visitation will be held from 12 -2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with services following at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mineral Cemetery in Mineral, TX. Serving as pallbearers will be David Harris, Rick McCracken, Roy McCracken, Joey Fischer, Bill Dahl and Patrick Pierce.
