Ernest Gonzales, 59, went to meet his Savior surrounded by his loving family on October 6, 2015. He was born on September 18, 1956 in Beeville, Texas to Rafael and Elisa Gonzales. He married the love of his life, Claudia Ann Garcia on October 6, 1972, and the two were blessed to have shared forty-three years of marital bliss. Ernest is survived by his wife Claudia Gonzales; two sons, Nathan Gonzales of Austin, Texas and Eric Gonzales of Cedar Hill, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Kim Gonzales; a granddaughter, Elise Gonzales; a grandson, Luke Gonzales, to be born in November; four sisters, Pauline Castillo and Patsy Beltran, both of Beeville; Mary Lopez of Houston, Rosa Gaitan of Pleasanton; and one brother, Joe Gonzales of Houston. Ernest was known by many to have a genuinely kind and humble heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and took great pride in building a reputation that included a strong work ethic, high moral values, and an unselfish disposition. Ernest was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoyed serving the Lord as a Eucharistic Minister for many years with his extended Christian family. Pallbearers will be Brandon Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Aaron Perez, Joe Gonzales Jr., Michael Benavidez, and Archie Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are all of his co-workers at H-E-B Grocery and Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9th, 2015. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
