Ernesto Valencia

Ernesto G. Valencia, 73, of Beeville, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Mr. Valencia was born Jan. 1, 1940, in Bee County to Juan and Elvira (Gonzalez) Valencia. He married Pauline Moya in Beeville on April 5, 1961, and worked for the City of Beeville. He was a Christian, a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half-sister, Porfiria Martinez. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Valencia of Beeville; six children, Rachel (Rufino) Martinez of Berclair, Billie (Felix) Luna, Ricky Valencia, Robert (Rosie) Valencia and David (Sandy) Valencia, all of Beeville; and Robert (Alicia) Rangel of Edinburg; a brother, Andres Valencia of Beeville; two sisters, Janie Bartlett and Virginia Garcia, both of Beeville; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, at New Hope Christian Church with Rev. Salvador Rincon Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Valencia, Robert Valencia, John Bartlett, Andrew Bartlett, Robert Trevi�o and Robert Rangel. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the City of Beeville.
