Etainne Harrod

Harrod Ardith Etainne Harrod, 87, passed away Jan. 8, 2015. Mrs. Harrod was born Dec. 24, 1927 to Walter Lee and Mae (Gillum) Carter in Teague. She married Daniel Harrod on July 7, 1944 in Three Rivers. She retired after many years as a Live Oak County librarian. She was preceded by parents; husband, Daniel Harrod; three sisters, Sybil Austin, Hazel Austin, and Pauline Emerson and two brothers, Harvel Carter and Winston Carter. She is survived by son, Dennis (Shirley) Harrod of Rockport; daughter, Danette (Dale) Burell of George West; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers, with Rev. Lyn Means officiating. Interment will follow at Oakville Cemetery in Oakville. Pallbearers will be Marc Harrod, Steven Harrod, Kevin Dittert, Haven Harrod, Waylon Austin, and Dale Burell.
