Eulalia Bednorz

Eulalia Rose (Lollie) Bednorz, 92, passed away on August 10, 2015. Born on August 23, 1922 in St. Hedwig, Texas to Joe and Clara Ploch Strzelczyk, she married Walter John Bednorz on September 6, 1942 and resided most of her life in George West, Texas. Mrs. Bednorz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers; three children - Connie Marie Dunn, Brenda Paulette White and Samuel Paul Bednorz; and one grandchild - Linda Faye Bednorz. Mrs. Bednorz was an active member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 6119 and she also served as Past President of the Altar Society at St. George Catholic Church in George West for 13 years. She is survived by son James Bednorz and wife Barbara of George West; brothers Anton Strzelczyk and wife Betty of New Braunfels, and Gilbert Strzelczyk and wife Frances of Marion; sister Rosemary Appett and husband Royce of San Antonio; sister-in-law Dorothy Strzelczyk of Marion; and son-in-law Danny Dunn of Killeen. Mrs. Bednorz is survived by six grandchildren including grandsons Jim Bednorz and wife Tamara, David Dunn and wife Amy, Stacie Dunn and wife Elanor, and Steven White; and granddaughters Donna VanWay and husband Todd, and Amy Walters and husband Brian. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at St. George Catholic Church in George West, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 and Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at St. George Catholic Church in George West, Texas. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery in George West, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jim Bednorz, Todd VanWay, Brian Walters, Stacie Dunn, David Dunn, and Steven White. Those who wish may make a donation to the St. George Altar Society.
