Evie Staples

Evie Hall Staples, 87, passed away April 23, 2017. She was born January 11, 1930, to Martin Luther and Ira Irene (Cowey) Hall in Coy City, Texas. She married James Waymon Staples on April 24, 1948, in Karnes City, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tuleta, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Judy Hall Walters, Charles Hall and Travis Hall. She is survived by her son, James W. (Patricia) Staples Jr. of Tuleta, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Heil (Kurt P. Heil Sr.) of Victoria, Texas; grandchildren, Jess W. Staples (Laura) of Tuleta, Texas, Loretta Mabe (Jason) of Cestohowa, Texas, Kurt Paul Heil Jr. of Brownfield, Texas, Heather Harlan (E.C.) of Brownfield, Texas and Crystal Ries (Ronnie) of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ross, Maclaye, Dexter, Kaycee, Tel, Charlotte, Ryder and Caroline. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will follow at San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna, Texas. Pallbearers will be Dennis Campos, E.C. Harlan, Noe Olivarez, Ronnie Ries, Jason Mabe, Jess W. Staples, Kurt Paul Heil Jr. and Dexter Riley Staples. Honorary pallbearers will be Gery Herod and Thomas Bryant.
