Evola Walker

Evola Rochelle Walker was born April 14, 1927, to the late Joseph and Rose Mae (Granger) Rochelle in New Iberia, Louisiana. She passed away on March 10, 2016. She was the fourth of six children. Later she moved to Houston, where she met the love of her life. She was united in holy matrimony to Louis Marcellous Walker. They were married 56 years at his time of passing in 2002. To this union they were blessed with 13 children (seven daughters and six sons.) Preceded her in death was her late husband, Louis M. Walker; her son, Glenn Eugene Walker; four sisters, Ophia Rochelle, Leanna Livingston, Lorenza Felix and Nola Mae Ivery; three brothers, Alvin, Junius and James Rochelle. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Linda Walker of Houston, Sandra Walker of Richmond, Patricia Walker of Richmond, Gwendolyn Walker of Beeville, Eyvonne Mayberry (Reabo) of Beeville, Brenda Youngblood (Earl) of Houston, Gloria Walker of Richmond, Kerry Walker (Cali) of Midway, Richard Walker (the late Susan) of Houston, Keith Walker (Bertha) of Lubbock, Robert Walker (Marva) of Corpus Christi, and Kevin Ray Walker (Bernadette) of Bloomington; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
