Floyd Latham

Floyd Carl Latham of George West, Texas, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019. He was 92.

Floyd was born June 20, 1926, in Bruni, Texas, to Walter Latham and Mattie Geary. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Mildred Hunt in Falfurrias, Texas, on July 15, 1952. He was foreman and manager of Mills Bennett Estate.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Latham; and two sons, David Latham and Floyd Carl Latham Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Darla (Michael) Lopez of Spring; his son, Ronald (Beverly) Latham of George West; 11 grandchildren, David Latham II, Kimber Mendez, Pamela Galindo, Michael Coleman, Ronnie Latham, Tammy Latham, Michael Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Laura Lopez, Julia Lopez and Samantha Latham; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Thomas of George West.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West followed by the funeral service at 2 o'clock.

Burial will follow at Latham Cemetery in Anna Rose, Texas, with Bruce Thomas officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Latham II, Michael Lopez, Valerie Ramsey, Ronnie Latham, Christopher Lopez and Zowee Latham.
