Forrest Green

Forrest Douglas Green, 54, of Beeville passed on to heaven on March 5, 2014. He was born on June 13, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include his father, Dr. Jack Green of Victoria, TX; Jennifer Goodman and her children, Kyle and Lamar Wilkerson of Beeville; brother, Allen Green of Franklin, TN; sister, Jeanene Atkinson of San Antonio, TX; nephews, Micah and Cody Green; nieces, Jessica, Reiley, Shelby and Lilly; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. His mother, and dear friend, Bobbie Green, preceded Doug in death. Doug loved God's creation, South Texas, and his country. Doug especially enjoyed working on local ranches managing cattle. Doug's family takes comfort in the surety of Doug's faith in Jesus and agrees today with a statement from one of his favorite authors: "There will come a time when you believe everything is finished; that will be the beginning." (Louis L'Amour) Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The family acknowledges the wonderful care of Exclusive Home Health and Hospice, especially the dedication of Dr. Dehnisch & nurse Amy Arrisola. Memorials may be made to South Texas Children's Home.
