Frances Hurst

Frances Jean (Kellogg) Hurst, 79, of Victoria, formerly of Beeville, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011. Mrs. Hurst was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Ganado to Ruby (Windham) and Frank Kellogg. She married Ernest Hurst Sr. in Beeville on April 12, 1995, and was a bookkeeper and a member of Trinity Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby Kellogg; and two brothers, JW Kellogg and Samuel Kellogg. Survivors include her husband, Ernest E. Hurst Sr. of Victoria; two brothers, Phillip Kellogg and Paul Kellogg, both of Houston; a sister, Joy Perkins of Dequincy, La.; two stepsons, David Hurst of Victoria and Ernest E. (Ava) Hurst Jr. of Beeville; and one stepdaughter, Patricia (Chris) Morris of Victoria. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, with Pastor Kevin Powers officiating. Musical selections will include "Goin' Home," "In the Garden," "Just A Closer Walk," "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Peace In the Valley." Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
