Frank Moreno

Frank W. Moreno, 88, passed away on September 6, 2014. He was born to Crispin and Maria Wilmot Moreno on April 2, 1926 in Three Rivers, Texas where he was raised along with four brothers and four sisters. Frank served our country in the United States Army, who along with his brothers represented the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines proudly. "Pancho", as all of his friends in Three Rivers knew him, married the love of his live, Felicia and were married for over 60 years. Together they lived in Three Rivers where they raised their family and were parishioners of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He worked at the Three Rivers Refinery for fifteen years from 1958 to 1973. Frank served his community by making a run for the Live Oak County Sherriff's position in 1968. Later he moved to Corpus Christi to work with his brother Rey at one of his "Ray's Restaurants". A couple of years later he opened "Franks Drive-in Grocery" which he owned and operated for over fifteen years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his wife at the "farm" on weekends and loved being around his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He devoted every waking hour of his life taking wonderful care of his wife during her final years until her death on January 17, 2013. May they be finally be reunited in the Eternal Peace of God's Kingdom. We love you Dad and miss you and Mom very much. He is preceded in death by his parents, Crispin and Maria Moreno; his wife, Felicia M. Moreno; three sisters, Carmen Gorham, Guadalupe Ybanez, and Adelina Mosqueda Longoria; three brothers, Crispin Moreno, Reynaldo Moreno, and Adolfo Moreno. Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Frank Moreno Jr. and wife, Nancy of Alma, Michigan, Emma Chapa and husband, Roel of George West, Estella Salazar and husband, Albert of Three Rivers, Georgia Lopez of Odem, TX, Crespin Moreno and wife, Ida of Corpus Christi, Rachel Forsythe and husband, Jerry of Corpus Christi, and Robert Moreno and wife, Velma of Corpus Christi; sister, Evangelina Guerra of San Diego, TX and brother, Richard Moreno of San Antonio, TX; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 3 PM- 9 PM at Trevino Funeral Home at 3006 Niagara in Corpus Christi, TX. A Rosary will be held at 7 PM that same evening. The following day on Thursday, September 11, 2014 visitation will continue from 9 AM- 1:30 PM at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers, TX. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 PM that same afternoon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers, TX. Interment to follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
