Frank Smejkal

Frank M. Smejkal, 76, of Corpus Christi, died Friday, June 3, 2016. Mr. Smejkal was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Yoakum, to Rose T. and Frank A. Smejkal. He was an engineer, a member of St. Philip's in Corpus Christi and enjoyed golf. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jessica Smejkal; an uncle, Joe Smejkal; and grandsons, Nicholas Smejkal and Trey Smejkal. Survivors include his children, Frank (Dana) Smejkal, Sean (Joseph) Smejkal, David (Laura) Smejkal and Stephen (Leslie Tindol) Smejkal; two brothers, Gus (Evelyn) Smejkal and Johnny J. (Dorothy) Smejkal, both of Beeville; four sisters, Barbara (Allan) Van Allen of Bastrop, Brenda (Larry) Mills and Linda (Glenn) Ford, both of Beeville, and Sandra (Dr. Pat) McCoy of Skidmore; and five grandchildren, Wyatt, Luke, Tyler, Blake and Matthew. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 5 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated there Wednesday, June 8, at 10 a.m. with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Frank Siddle, Joe Pociotti, Johnny Sanchez, John Hart, Waylon Ford and Joseph Smejkal. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home
