Garland Lowrance

Garland Alfred Lowrance, 81, of George West, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mr. Lowrance was born August 11, 1937, in Cleburne, Texas, to Garland Arthur and Dorothy (McCallon) Lowrance. He married Maria Ruth Balilo in Manila, Philippines, on August 4, 1986. After 38 years of teaching, he retired from the George West Independent School District in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Dorothy Lowrance; and a sister, Marjorie Barr.
Mr. Lowrance leaves behind his wife, Ruth Lowrance of George West, Texas; and three daughters, Faith Lanford of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hannah Lowrance of Austin, Texas and Ella Lowrance of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
