George Norris

George West, Texas George Robert Norris, 84, passed away on November 26, 2014. He was born on October 4, 1930 in Annarose, Texas to Vollie and Minnie Lee (Kelly) Norris. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Gwen White on September 9, 1995 in George West. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired fireman. He was also engaged in ranching. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Norris of George West; stepsons, Tom Cannan of Australia and John Cannan of George West; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Norris, Dennis Thompson, Mike Norris, Mark Norris, Johnny Norris, and Doug Webb.
