George Ray, Iii

George A. "Trace" Ray III, 65, died Oct. 7, 2010. Mr. Ray was born on Jan. 24, 1945, in San Antonio. He married Cynthia Hogan on July 4, 2005, in Live Oak County. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Beeville, a multi-generation rancher, member of Beefmaster Breeders Association, former director of First National Bank and former chairman of Loan Committee, former president of Rotary Club and an Eagle Scout. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Cynthia Hogan Ray of Pettus; a son, Clinton Lucas (Lisa) Ray of San Antonio; a daughter, Jennifer Robin (Steve) Orchard of Corpus Christi; and three grandchildren, Carson Haggard Ray, Lauren Elizabeth Ray and Sydney Clare Orchard. Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Chapel. The funeral service was conducted there at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. Mark Spence officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Fish, James Blackburn, Allen Dunn, Brett Dunn, Alex Kibler, Colton Brinkoeter, Lynn Esse and Justin Coldeway.
