Gladys Spurlock

Gladys Spurlock passed away August 31, 2017. She was 95 years old. She was born on November 29, 1921, to Elbert and Mattie (Emory) Murphrey in Calhoun, Louisiana. She married Murrell Spurlock on November 11, 1937, in Point, Louisiana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by her son, Ronald M. (Diane) Spurlock of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughter, Hope (Mike) Sifuentes of Corpus Christi, Texas; and sister, Elaine Ables of Calhoun, Louisiana.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Beulah Church in Calhoun, Louisiana with Rev. Lance Otwell officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
