Glenda Louise (Palmer) Gabbert, 68, of Beeville, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. Mrs. Gabbert was born Feb. 20, 1942, to Wilburn William and Kathleen Harriett (Scott) Palmer. She married James Gabbert in Troy on June 8, 1959, and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a retired cashier at H-E-B and enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Palmer. Survivors include her husband, James Gabbert of Beeville; three daughters, Donna (Freddy) Losak of Waco, Jimmie Yvonne Gabbert of Austin and Mary Kathleen (David) Smith of Beeville; a son, Ryan James (Jana) Gabbert of Beeville; two sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Webb of Greenbriar, Ark., and Connie (Melvin) Koenig of Temple; two brothers, Wayne Palmer of South Carolina and Robert (Jenna) Palmer of Temple; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted there at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Pastor Dywane Burrell officiating.
