Grabiela Pena

Grabiela R. Pena, 101, of George West, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2018. Mrs. Pena was born on January 15, 1917, to Geronimo and Petra (Perez) Rodriguez in Panna Maria, Texas. She married Gonzalo R. Pena on July 1936, at St. George Catholic Church in George West, Texas. She was a faithful member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Aurora Pena Hasette; granddaughters, Nora Hasette and Estella Pena; and great-great granddaughter, Serenity Lynn Hasette.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Pena of Fort Worth, Texas, Richard (Mary) Pena and Oscar (Angela) Pena all of San Antonio, Texas, Simon R. (Rosalia Ena) Pena and Alfredo R. (Sulema) Pena; daughters, Elodia P. (Nick) Flores and Gloria (Arturo) Valadez all of George West, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; twenty-two great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas. A rosary will be recited that evening at 7 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018, at St. George Catholic Church with Father Albert Lelo officiating. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hasette, Leroy Valadez, Gonzalo Flores, Nicholas Pena, Frank Hernandez and David Pena.
